I am making balls! Of the meat variety, right now and writing this on the phone!
Multitasking at it’s best! 😀

Meatballs are one of those comfort foods that remind me of Holland. They are so versatile, one added ingredient can change the cuisine for that night.

The basic ingredients are

Dijon Mustard,
Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)

When all are well mixed together, I add finely crumbled

When these are gradually added, I use my hand to mix it all in. The mixture is ready when it doesn’t stick to your hand anymore.
This is divided into 8 pieces, then squashed and rolled to make the balls. The last step is to roll the balls in crispbread crumbs….

They are now ready to go into the frying pan on a medium heat then a low heat, turning them often.

Tonight I kept them plain and only added onion and garlic powder.
Usually I add fresh herbs or,
Galangal (my favourite),
Curry powder…. You get the idea.

Boy child dressed it up for the finale 🙂
